Mayor of Joniškis district municipality Romaldas Gadeikis

Romaldas Gadeikis was born in February 28, 1957, in Notėnai, Skuodas district. In 1964-1972 he studied at the Notėnai comprehensive school, in 1972-1975 - at Klaipėda first secondary school, in 1975-1980 - at Vilnius engineering construction‘s institute, he got an auto and auto-economy speciality.   

In 1980-1982 served in the Soviet army. In 1982-1983 worked at Joniškis melioration building board bay as a mechanic, in 1983-1990 - as a head mechanic, in 1990 - as a LCP Joniškis district’s committee prime secretary.

In 1990-1995 he was a  mayor of Joniškis, in 1995-2000 - director of Limited joint-stock insurance company „Hermis insurance“ in Joniškis department, in 2000 - director of Joint-stock insurance company „Prevente“, in 2003 - director of „Ergo - Lietuva“ in Joniškis department.

In 1990-1995, 1995-1997, 2000-2002, 2007-2011 - a member of Joniškis district common council.

Since 17 of April, 2007 Romaldas Gadeikis is a mayor of Joniškis district municipality.

Since 1990 - Lithuania’s democratic work labour party member, since 2006 - a member of Lithuania social-democratic party in Joniškis department.

Romaldas Gadeikis dances in folk-dance ensemble „Jievaras“. In 2007-2008 year he is a president of ROTARY club and is a president of Joniškis dance club „Seignior“.

Romaldas Gadeikis is married. His wife Agelė is an owner of private enterprise. They have two suns - Egidijus and Simonas.
